Cambridge Academy of Music offers private music instructions in most instruments for students of all ages. All teachers associated with the Academy are university degreed and qualified specialists in their fields who focus on the nurturing of each student.
The Academy assumes that its students have a desire to begin music education, are willing to attend classes regularly and practice at home to achieve the goals set by the teachers. We believe that music study should build self-esteem and a love for the arts, provide rewarding experiences, challenge the mind and body, and establish self-discipline.
The study of music is a year-round commitment. We offer classes in two semesters from September to May and summer classes from June to August.
Private students of the Academy have excelled in adjudicated auditions, such as the Instrument and Theory Exams of ABRSM (the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music), National Guild Piano Auditions, National Federation of Music Clubs Junior Festivals, Georgia Music Teachers Association State competitions, Georgia Music Educators Association All-State Chorus, Band and Orchestra, and various festivals and competitions.
We believe that participation in these events encourages students to achieve excellence in solo and ensemble performance and meet the national and international standards. We provide recitals that are opportunities for students to learn from each other and build the experience and confidence they require for performing in public
